Welcome to British International Primary 51吃瓜网黑料

I am pleased to introduce British International Primary 51吃瓜网黑料. The new purpose-built campus opened its doors for children aged 5 to 11 in September 2021, with a later addition of Reception Class in January 2022. The school is guided by and committed to our core mission 鈥� to lay the foundation for quality learning that enables pupils to succeed in the ever-changing global context.

Our Philosophy & Core Values

Our core values aim to develop six main character qualities in every child: kindness, perseverance, flexibility, productivity, accountability, and leadership. The overarching 鈥渆very pupil in every lesson鈥� principle focuses on achieving personal growth and academic excellence, encouraging our pupils to thrive as individuals with a strong moral compass. At the heart of the British International Junior 51吃瓜网黑料 (BIJS) is the vision of establishing an innovative school that aims to teach children 21st-century skills (learning and innovation; digital literacy; and career and life skills) and encourage them to nurture their interests and discover new talents.

Our Curriculum

The Early Years curriculum for pupils aged 4-5 follows the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework, and Years 1 to 6 follow the stimulating and engaging Cambridge International Primary Curriculum. The pupils who join us embark on a personalised learning journey leading up to the British International Secondary 51吃瓜网黑料 (BIS Nigeria), an exceptional educational provider situated on the same grounds. Our curriculum is very different from that of other local schools. We focus on the 鈥榳hole child鈥� by developing the 鈥榟ead鈥� 鈥� academics; 鈥榟eart鈥� 鈥� emotional intelligence; 鈥榟ealth鈥� 鈥� sports and wellbeing; and 鈥榟and鈥� 鈥� creativity and problem-solving, placing pupils on a clear path for learning success.聽

Our Environment

We are committed to small class sizes to ensure that pupils get the attention and support they deserve. That is why our classes will have 16 to a maximum of 20 pupils in a class. Our safe, caring and engaging environment will allow our pupils the adequate space and time to prepare for 鈥渁 greater tomorrow鈥�, ready for whatever life will throw at them in the modern world.聽

Our Goals

Our goal is to be a place of joy, wonder, and discovery, where pupils learn to think critically, ask and answer deep questions, and work collaboratively while carrying a sense of kindness and respect for others and the environment.

Our Creative Curriculum

Our curriculum aims to foster 21st-century skills and provide authentic and active learning experiences that hold the nature of learning to heart. The curriculum design follows the principles:

learner-centeredness 鈥� pupils are the primary agents of their learning;
horizontal connectedness 鈥� pupils make connections between subjects and knowledge building on previous knowledge;
sensitivity to individual differences 鈥� 鈥楨very Child Matters鈥� educational philosophy;
the social nature of learning 鈥� we facilitate collaborative learning opportunities and the development of a learning community.

BIJS is committed to developing pupils鈥� abilities to succeed in their future careers during the Information Age. These skills are meant to help pupils keep up with the lightning pace of today鈥檚 modern society. There are four skills categories: learning and innovation, digital literacy, foundation literacies, and career and life skills.

BIJS achieves the vision by dividing our curriculum into 4 strands: heart, head, health and hands.

The 鈥榟ead鈥� curriculum represents the traditional subjects such as English, maths, science, computing, design and technology, history, geography, art and design, music, modern foreign languages, personal, religious education (RE), social and health education (PSHE) and citizenship.
The 鈥榟eart鈥� curriculum is a well-being programme that involves philosophy for children (P4C) and 鈥榗oaching鈥� sessions.
The 鈥榟ealth鈥� curriculum is an enhanced physical education (PE) programme to promote healthy habits and lifestyles.
The 鈥榟ands鈥� curriculum is project-based learning. Pupils work on a real-world problem across various disciplines.

To deliver our curriculum, we combine three of the most prominent curriculums around the world: the British National Curriculum (NC), the Cambridge International Primary Curriculum (CAIE), and the International Primary Curriculum (IPC).
